The Opportunity

Due to recent growth, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join the fast paced, well established and welcoming Finance Team. The role will be based in our Cirencester office with a mix of office and homeworking.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working alongside our two Finance Assistants and five Senior Finance Assistants, the role will involve a variety of responsibilities, and the ideal candidate would show demonstrable skills in/training would be provided;

  • Purchase ledger data entry into the accounts system, Sage;
  • Day to day administration of EDP’s job costing system (full in-house training to be given), including sales invoices production;
  • Undertaking general credit control duties, including issuing reminders to clients regarding outstanding invoices;
  • Review accuracy and appropriateness of team expenses before processing;
  • To perform supplier statement reconciliations;
  • Manage the Finance mailbox, ensuring queries are dealt with in a timely manner or forwarded for action appropriately;
  • General administration within the finance department.

Your Skills

It is essential that you have GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent) and be confident with Microsoft Offices packages (especially Excel) and have excellent attention to detail. Additionally, you will be organised, approachable, reliable and able to multitask under high expectations, pressure and workload deadlines.

It would be desirable, but not essential, that you have a working knowledge of Sage.

Of course, we’ll need you to have all the right qualifications and experience – excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. But to enjoy your time at EDP, you’ll also need to be personable, passionate, and proactive. We’re a friendly bunch but we do work hard.

You’ll need to hold a full, valid UK driving licence.

The Role

Whether you're applying as a Consultant or stepping into a Senior role, you’ll bring experience in archaeological fieldwork and strong reporting skills tied to the planning process (e.g. desk-based assessments, setting assessments, WSIs).

As a Consultant, you'll support our team across a variety of projects, providing pragmatic, solution-focused advice. As a Senior Consultant, you'll bring proven consultancy experience, especially around heritage setting and confidently lead on heritage and archaeology projects of varying scope and complexity.

In both roles, you’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, project managers and clients, while developing your technical capabilities, and gaining exposure to exciting new challenges.

Your Skills

  • Relevant qualifications in archaeology or heritage;

  • Membership (or working toward) with CIfA (preferably Associate or above).

The Role

We are looking for well-rounded, talented, enthusiastic and highly organised team players to join the growing Landscape Team; you’ll be working across a wide range of project scales and sectors, including new settlements, major residential and mixed-use developments, world-class leisure facilities, and renewable energy projects.

As a Graduate Landscape Architect at EDP, you’ll:

  • Work closely with experienced and respected Landscape Architects;
  • Contribute to landscape strategies, landscape and visual impact assessments, masterplanning and design work;
  • Gain exposure to multi-disciplinary projects, collaborating with ecologists, heritage consultants, planners and arboriculturists; and
  • Develop the skills needed to respond to emerging industry priorities such as biodiversity net gain, climate resilience and green infrastructure delivery.

Your Skills

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Ecologist to join our passionate, dynamic and friendly team in either our Cheltenham or Cirencester office.

The Role

Benefiting from working in a multidisciplinary consultancy team, you will provide sound ecological advice and project support to Project Managers across a range of projects which vary in size, types and complexities.

You will be positive, proactive and solution focussed, have demonstrable experience of environmental consultancy and be willing to contribute to a supportive work environment. You will be effective at working on your own and as part of a 30+ strong ecology team located across our three offices.

Your Skills

Of course, we’ll need you to have all the right qualifications and experience – excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. But to enjoy your time at EDP, you’ll also need to be personable, passionate and proactive. We’re a friendly bunch but we do work hard.

We are keen to appoint a bat licensed ecologist with experience in mitigation and are particularly interested in applicants with tree climbing skills. Applicants with Biodiversity Net Gain experience or those with other Protected Species licenses are also highly sought after. In addition, you will have a good working knowledge of ecology, environmental legislation and survey techniques, hold a relevant degree and have or be eligible for CIEEM membership.

A full, valid UK driving licence is essential, with access to a vehicle for business use preferred.
